Uniform Policy Reminder
It's that time of year where following dress code policy seems to be a little less consistent, especially when it is cold & students need extra layers. As it is our school policy and a part of our charter, we do need to be consistent with reinforcing expectations for all students in grades K-8 so that students aren't receiving mixed messages. Attached is the uniform policy for your review. We do have extra clothing your student can change into or we can send home for you to keep. Just let your homeroom teacher know.
Congrats to Ms. Collins, CPCS Teacher of the Year, Ms. Angay, CPCS Educational Support Professional of the Year, and Ms. Lonergan, SMECO Math Teacher of the Year!!!
Reminder for morning drop-off and pick-up:
When exiting the parking lot in the front of the building, it is for the safety of ALL that you turn RIGHT ONLY between 8:00-8:30 & 3:00-3:30
SOUP-ER BOWL
The 6th-grade social studies classes were moved to help after learning about how many communities, including our own, experience food insecurity. To aid with replenishing the supplies of our local food banks, we are going to hold our own SOUP-ER BOWL! We will be collecting cans of soup (or other canned products) for our local food banks. After the playoffs, choose which team you are rooting for and write the name of the team on top of the can. Bring your can to school and place it on a table in the gym next to your team's logo to "vote" for which team you would like to win. After the actual Super Bowl, 6th graders will count the cans to see who "won" and then the food will be locally dispersed. Thank you for helping help our community by sending in a canned good and have a SOUP-ER day!
-The 6th grade students and teachers
6th graders worked first semester on revitalizing our rock garden. Last week, they spruced up and cleaned the front entrance rock garden bed with their newly painted rocks. Each rock showcased one of our CRABS virtues. Way to go 6th grade!

Lost and Found Update - 1/12/23
We have reached the middle of our school year and our poor "Lost and Found" rack is feeling it!
Although looking a little tidy right now, this high-traffic area is running out of space. We would love to return all these items to their owners, however, not one of them is labeled.
Which leaves us no choice.....
-------- ALL items will be cleared out by the end of THIS month --------
Approved uniforms will be recycled into our CPCS uniform closet. All other items will be locally donated.
PLEASE have your child(ren) come claim their belongings as soon as possible!
Feel free to look yourself during Community Gatherings (Fridays) and Chili Bingo (Jan 20th).
**Pictures posted below are ONLY the more easily recognized items. There is much more on the rack.
Labels. Labels. LABELS.
IMPORTANT - PLEASE label your children's belongings!
Volunteers Needed for CPCS Community and Engagement Committee

2. Editorial support to ensure all articles are free of errors.
3. Brainstorm ideas and ways to highlight the school community.
Our first meeting will be Tuesday, January 24th at 6 pm at CPCS.
Zoom links can be provided to those who cannot make the in-person meeting.
